Studio photos and the Photobooth will always be a popular part of every event, however there is also an increasing demand for photos to be taken by a wandering photographer at events, and for these to be made available on Social Media. We therefore developed the Hashtag Printer to not only meet this demand, but to go one step better and to provide guests with themed printed mementos of these photos as well. This exciting new ent for 2016/17 is a fantastic complement to the Photobooth at larger events, or it can be the perfect standalone ent at smaller events, and ideal at College Days. Instead of having just one or two wandering photographers covering an event, you can turn every person attending the event into a wandering photographer!

The principal behind the Hashtag Printing station is that guests take photos on their own phones, upload them to Instagram / Twitter giving the photo a unique hashtag, and the photos are then automatically downloaded and displayed on the Hashtag Printer Station within minutes. The Print Station shows a slideshow of all the downloaded images when it’s not in use, and as soon as the screen is touched, thumbnails of all the images are displayed. Touching any of the thumbnails enlarges it to full screen size where the photo can be printed, emailed to someone, or uploaded to Facebook. The printouts produced by the Hashtag Print Station are themed to the event - all designs are bespoke, just as the Photobooth printouts are. We endeavour to use similar design styles for the printouts produced by the Photobooth and the Hashtag printer, so the mementos people take away from the event are all themed, and consistent in their design.

The Hashtag Print Station allows guests to print out unlimited themed photos during the hire period, typically 3 hours. The following day all the printouts are uploaded to Flickr where the high resolution files can be viewed / downloaded for free and then displayed on a College or Society Facebook page
